The new production hall is necessary in order to meet the increasing order volume. In the future, the new hall will manufacture technical PPS plastic components for engine compartments (powertrain applications) as well as for thermal and fluid management systems, which will be supplied, among others, to the customer Pierburg Pump Technology GmbH. In addition, plastic parts and assemblies will be produced there that will later be incorporated into the production of high-quality trigger sprayers at the company headquarters in Neusäß. “The new hall and the entire Hartha plant are a strategically important pillar for the corporate group, essential for the manufacture of our own products as well as for all customer orders. Our vision is to offer, as a ‘Made in Germany’ manufacturer, a comprehensive product range of Kläger-brand trigger sprayers with extensive customization options,” emphasized Managing Director Kristian Kläger.
At the ceremonial groundbreaking event, District Administrator Matthias Damm and Hartha Mayor Roland Kunze were also present and welcomed Kläger Plastik’s investments in the region. As with previous construction projects, Goldbeck has been commissioned with the planning and implementation of the new production hall.
Expertise at the Kläger Plastik Hartha Site
The Hartha plant has its own in-house tool and mold-making department integrated into the production process, as well as its own development and design department. Its key core competence lies in the manufacture of sophisticated technical injection-molded parts made from high-performance plastics such as PPS for the automotive and electrical industries. The team possesses particular expertise in overmolding small metal parts such as shafts, connectors, and contacts with plastic (hybrid injection molding / insert molding technology). Kläger Plastik Hartha processes up to 900 tons of PPS plastic granulate per year, making it one of the largest consumers of this specialized material in Europe. “The company’s success is largely due to the 120 permanent employees, who contribute their expertise and commitment every day,” said Managing Director Kristian Kläger in thanking the employees of the Hartha plant.
