Group-wide restructuring and brand relaunch
In 2026, Kläger Group is launching a comprehensive, group-wide restructuring and modernizing its brand identity. All companies within the group will adopt a unified visual appearance, featuring updated designs, new logos, and completely redesigned websites.
With this relaunch, the brands Kläger, Kläger SPC, and Vema will present themselves in a modern, consistent look – an important step toward strengthening their shared identity and driving the future-oriented development of the entire group.

Renaming of Kläger Plastik GmbH
An important step toward the future: For strategic reasons and with a clear focus on the continued development of our company, we have decided to modernize and sharpen our brand identity.
After more than 40 successful years, we are saying goodbye to the name Kläger Plastik GmbH. From now on, we will operate under the new name Kläger GmbH.
With this change, we emphasize our commitment to future-oriented growth and to placing an even stronger focus on our full range of services.

Vema is investing in the future: with the acquisition of a state-of-the-art, fully automatic monobagger system, the company is setting new standards in efficiency and packaging technology.

The Kläger Group is celebrating its 75th anniversary!
Founded by Karl Kläger in 1949 in six garages in Augsburg, Bavaria, the company has steadily and innovatively grown ever since. It all started with the production of chemical products for the cosmetics, chemical, and agricultural sectors. Today, tradition and innovation unite three generations of the family business and around 300 colleagues from various companies into a strong team.

Completion & Commissioning of the Kläger Group Energy Park
The largest individual project in the history of the Kläger Group was completed in early 2024. With the construction of this innovative energy park, the company is positioning itself for a sustainable and environmentally conscious future. This investment in renewable energy sources will not only significantly reduce the ecological footprint but also ensure the long-term viability of the company’s site in Hartha, Saxony.

Installation of a photovoltaic system as part of the comprehensive energy measures at Kläger Group at the Neusäß site. In the future, we will cover approximately 25 to 35% of our required energy for the production process ourselves.

Foundation of the start-up terahash
Emerging from the Kläger Group, terahash offers solutions in the fields of energy infrastructure, investment models, and Bitcoin expertise.

Kläger Plastik in Hartha gets its own company name
The site becomes Kläger SPC GmbH & Co. KG (SPC stands for Smart Performance Components). This new company foundation with its own company name sharpens the profile of the Hartha site and names the services and competences of the plant.
2021
Comprehensive restructuring at Vema
Installation and qualification of an additional heated process system with homogenizer:
A new heated production system with integrated homogenizer and a maximum capacity of 1,500 liters has been installed and qualified. It will be used in the future for the production of emulsions, lotions, and liquid formulations for the cosmetics, medical, and household sectors.
Completion of extensive modernization work and expansion of production facilities:
The production areas have been comprehensively upgraded and expanded. Measures include: new hygiene airlocks, coated flooring with integrated brush cleaning systems, state-of-the-art ventilation and air conditioning systems, new high-speed industrial doors, a fully integrated access control and locking system, introduction of a completely revised workwear concept.
These improvements significantly enhance hygiene standards, efficiency, and operational safety.
Establishment of an in-house Regulatory Affairs team:
A dedicated Regulatory Affairs team has been founded within the Research & Development department under the leadership of Dr. Christian Melchert, with responsibilities across the entire group.
Key focus areas include: customer consulting on product labeling, regulatory compliance assessment, marketability and legal conformity of products across all relevant markets.

Since 1 January 2021 VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG has been operating under the new name of Vema GmbH & Co. KG, and in so doing has positioned itself considerably more broadly. This underlines the company’s transformation from straightforward contract bottling to a comprehensive full-service provider for brands and retail chains, along with the inclusion of new product concepts and types of packaging.

At our Hartha site, a new factory floor with a 1000 m² production area, including a logistics portal, is inaugurated and successfully commences operations.
2018
Expansion of our compressed air sprayer product world: launch of the new Foamya product lines (foam sprayers), along with the Food & Kitchen Chef (food spray systems).
2017
Modernizations and Expansions at Vema
Start of operations of a fourth filling line for aerosol sprays and foams, with the focus on cosmetics and medical products. Start of operations of a fully automatic packaging machine, including an optical camera control system for our aerosol filling machine at VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG.
Renovation and expansion of all mixing rooms as well as investment in two large process tanks (3.000 l and 4.000 l) for bulk production at VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG.

Start of operations of a 5-axis CNC milling machine in our in-house toolroom at Kläger Plastik in Hartha.

Assembly and start of operations of three 30-tonne aluminium silos
Plastic granules will be stored here in the future. Adidtionally, a vacuum piping system was installed at Kläger Plastik GmbH in Neusäß.

Investment in a fully automatic four-station UV screen printing machine, as well as the modernisation of the whole screen printing department at Kläger Plastik, Neusäß.
2013
Initial certification of VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG in compliance with IFS HPC (International Featured Standards for Household and Personal Care Products) as the first aerosol filling company in Germany. IFS is the standard that guarantees the product safety of household and personal care products throughout the entire production chain.

Introduction of environmental management and initial certification of Kläger Plastik Neusäß in compliance with the DIN EN ISO 14001 standards.

In January our company director and owner, Karlheinz Kläger, passed away. He was the second generation to run the family business, and had done so for over 30 years. His son Kristian Kläger continues to run the company as the sole director.

Kristian Kläger (Dipl.-Kfm. Univ., MCom) is made director, both of Kläger Plastik GmbH and of VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG. From now on, the two companies are under the joint management of Karlheinz and Kristian Kläger.

20-year anniversary of the Kläger Plastik factory in Hartha, Saxony.
Covering a total area of 5,000 m², the factory employs 108 people producing technically sophisticated plastic parts for the automobile and electronic industries on around 40 injection moulding machines.
2011
Kristian Kläger (Dipl.-Kfm. Univ., MCom) assumes an executive role at Kläger Plastik GmbH. He is responsible for strategy, as well as product and environmental management.

Initial certification of VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG in compliance with DIN ISO standard 13485 for medical products. In this context, the extensive requirements for the design and manufacture of medical products are integrated into the existing quality management system.

Construction and inauguration of a 1000 m² logistics centre at the Kläger Plastik factory in Hartha.

Expansion and modernisation of the mixing rooms at VEMA Industrie-Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG for the bulk manufacture of cosmetics and medical products, in compliance with cosmetic and medical standards (GMP).

Development of the first “Kläger” brand trigger sprayer. The newly developed proprietary sprayers are initially manufactured externally.
