For the company’s anniversary, all employees of the four companies that are part of the Kläger Group were invited for the first time to a joint summer festival. While the employees from Hartha had a short commute, colleagues from the other companies in Bavaria made the long journey to Saxony.
The corporate group includes Kläger Plastik GmbH and Vema GmbH & Co. KG, based in Neusäß (near Augsburg), Kläger SPC GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hartha (Saxony), and the start-up terahash.energy GmbH, based in Augsburg. The companies employ nearly 300 people.
Tradition and Innovation – Thinking in Generations
Karl Kläger founded the company in 1949 in Augsburg, Bavaria. Later, it was continued by his son Karlheinz Kläger. His dedication also led to the establishment of the plant in Hartha (Saxony). Since 2012, Kristian Kläger has been leading the family-run company.
“For me, the path I have taken and will continue to take has always been clear. I have always known that I would commit to continuing the family business,” said Kristian Kläger.

Joint Celebration for the Anniversary
The celebration fulfills a dream for Kristian Kläger. Bringing all employees together at one location fills him with pride. The anniversary truly marks a jubilee year. At Christmas, all colleagues from Hartha are invited to the Christmas party in Neusäß. The return visit appropriately concludes the celebrations.
In his speech, Kristian Kläger recalled the entrepreneurial spirit of his grandfather, who laid the foundation for the company in six garages in Augsburg and had the courage to take risks. He wants to carry on this courage and lead the corporate group successfully into the future. Kristian Kläger has three children to whom he wishes to pass on a healthy company, should they also desire it.

Following his speech, Hartha’s mayor, Ronald Kunze, also offered his congratulations and thanks to CEO Kristian Kläger and his company. He expressed his gratitude for the presence of Kläger SPC in Hartha, where technical precision components made of high-performance plastic are manufactured, and noted that the plant is part of a long-standing family tradition.
After the official part of the event, all employees had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious buffet and spend relaxed and inspiring hours with colleagues in a cheerful mood. A DJ provided a lively atmosphere on a mild summer evening.

Energy park inaugurated
In September 2023, the construction for the energy park began, which, with an investment of approximately 1.75 million euros, is the largest project in the company’s history. It was now put into operation for the company anniversary, with the inverters being switched on. The energy park will enhance Kläger SPC’s competitiveness, making the company more independent from the electricity market. The photovoltaic system will permanently cover 40 to 50 percent of the company’s energy needs in Hartha. The approximately 2,500 modules, each measuring 2.40 by 1.30 meters, have a total output of 1.6 megawatts-peak and will be oriented east and west. This allows the energy generated in the early morning and evening to be utilized for a longer period. Since the system could not be installed on the company’s roof for various reasons, it was erected on the more than 10,000-square-meter area next to Kläger SPC.
With the energy park, the Kläger Group is setting a sign for the future.
“Our company vision is to continue to take a leading role in the sustainable production of high-performance plastic parts in the coming years,” concludes Kristian Kläger.
